Tennis Court Construction Cost
The type of ground to be used affects the cost of tennis court construction.
Tennis court construction is very popular especially among professional tennis players and hobby players. The cost of tennis court construction varies depending on many factors.
The cost of tennis court construction depends primarily on the selected ground material, the size of the court and local construction costs. For example, a hard-surfaced tennis court may be more costly to build, while a clay-surfaced tennis court may be more cost-effective to build.
The size of the court is also an important factor. A standard-sized tennis court is approximately 23.77 meters long and 10.97 meters wide. However, it is also possible to build a smaller court, which can reduce the cost.
Local construction costs are also a factor that affects the cost. Construction costs can vary depending on regional price differences, and therefore the cost of a tennis court field built in different places can be different.
In addition, equipment, maintenance costs, lighting and other factors can increase the cost of building a tennis court field.
How many acres is a tennis court?
The standard dimensions of a tennis court are subject to certain rules and are usually measured in square meters. Tennis courts can be different sizes for singles and doubles. According to the standard measurements set by the International Tennis Federation (ITF):
Singles Tennis Court:
Length: 23.77 meters (78 feet)
Width: 8.23 meters (27 feet)
Double Tennis Court:
Length: 23.77 meters (78 feet)
Width: 10.97 meters (36 feet)
These measurements show that although doubles courts have the same length, the width is wider than singles courts. Tennis courts built to these standards are used for professional tournaments and competitions.
However, the term "acre" is generally used as a measurement of agricultural land and does not refer to the area of a tennis court. The width and length of tennis courts are expressed in square meters.
